Translators

An AI assistant for translators: it drafts, you bring the craft

OPTES gives you a first translation draft that follows the glossary you provide, reads scanned and handwritten documents, transcribes recordings before you translate them, and checks terminology and figures for consistency between source and target. The craft stays with you: tone, precise meaning and your responsibility to the client.

What OPTES does for you

First draft with your glossary

Upload the text and the client's approved glossary and it writes a draft that follows it. You review it sentence by sentence and polish the style before delivery.

An example of what you type

Translate this commercial contract into Arabic using the attached glossary, and flag any term that isn't in it

AvailableWriting, editing and translation

Read scanned documents

Reads scanned documents, certificates and handwritten letters into editable text, keeping the order of paragraphs and fields. You check the text against the original before translating.

An example of what you type

This is a photo of an old handwritten school certificate. Turn it into text as it is, keeping the order of the fields

AvailableReading images and documents

Consistency check before delivery

Compares source and target and finds mismatched numbers, dates and names, and any term translated more than one way. You decide what gets corrected.

An example of what you type

Compare the English source with my translation and list in a table any number or date that differs and any term I translated two ways

AvailableWriting, editing and translation

Transcribe recordings first

Turns recorded interviews and lectures into text, Arabic dialects included, so translation starts from a written source. You listen again to any unclear passages.

An example of what you type

Transcribe this Levantine Arabic recording as spoken, then translate it into English in a parallel column

AvailableSpeech to text

Research specialist terms

Looks up equivalents for new terms in their field and shows the common options with sources. You choose the one that suits the client and add it to your glossary.

An example of what you type

What Arabic equivalent is used for 'carbon offsetting' in official Arabic documents? Give me the options with sources

AvailableResearch and summaries with sources

Localise the style, not just the words

Reworks a translation for a specific audience, such as an ad for the Gulf or Iraqi market, while keeping the meaning. You review tone and cultural references.

FAQ

Questions and answers

How does OPTES help translators?

It takes on the repetitive parts: first drafts with your glossary, reading scanned documents, transcribing recordings, researching terms and checking consistency. Precise meaning, style and responsibility to the client stay with the translator.

Is it suitable for certified or legal translation?

It can prepare a draft, but certified translation needs a qualified translator who reviews every word, takes responsibility for it and signs it according to the official body's requirements. Never deliver a machine draft without a full review.

What about my clients' confidential documents?

Upload only what the task needs, honour your confidentiality agreements with clients, and remove unnecessary personal data before uploading where you can. What gets uploaded is always your decision.

Does it handle Arabic dialects?

Yes. It understands text and recordings in Modern Standard Arabic and in dialects, and writes in MSA or a specific dialect you ask for. Always review local idioms and proverbs, which need a translator's ear the most.
