Who we are and what the service is

The service covers the OPTES Code app, the web edition, the phone apps, the developers platform and this site. It is provided by the OPTES project, based in Baghdad, Iraq. Contact: [email protected].

Your account

You sign in with a Google account or an OPTES account. You are responsible for your account and for everything done through it, and for keeping your device and sign-in safe. You must be at least 13 years old, and anyone under 18 uses the service with a parent's or guardian's consent. An account is for one person: do not share a paid account or sell access to it.

Plans and payment

Plans are monthly and paid in Iraqi dinars through the Wayl gateway; the amount shown is the amount you pay. Each plan has a session allowance every five hours and a monthly allowance, as shown on the plans page.

Plans do not renew automatically and nothing is charged without you acting: seven days before your plan ends we send you a payment link, you have three days' grace after the end, and then the plan ends and you return to the free plan if you have not paid.

Payments are not refundable, except when you were charged twice by mistake or paid and your plan was not activated; in those two cases write to us within 14 days and we refund the amount or activate the plan. Prices may change; we announce a change at least seven days ahead, and it never affects a period you have already paid for.

Acceptable use

Do not use OPTES to break the law, to harm or harass others, to break into systems you do not own or are not authorised to test, to produce malware or fraud, to impersonate someone else, to get around plan limits by deception or unauthorised automation, to resell the service, or to attack or slow down the service itself. If you break these terms we may suspend or close the account.

What the AI produces

Answers can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial and security matters. You are responsible for how you use the output.

Your request passes through third-party model providers so that an answer can be produced, as our privacy policy explains.

Your content and who owns the output

What you write and upload stays yours, and so does what OPTES produces for you, as far as the law allows. You give us a limited permission to process your content only as needed to run the service for you (sending the request and keeping what you ask us to keep). We do not sell or publish your content.

Availability

We try to keep the service running, but it can stop, change or be delayed for maintenance, faults or reasons outside our control, and we do not offer a service-level guarantee. Before suspending or closing an account we send a notice to its e-mail, except for a security risk, clear abuse or an order from a competent authority.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected] from the e-mail linked to the account. On deletion, or on closure for a breach, the plan and any remaining credit end without a refund. What we must keep by law (such as payment records) we keep for the period required.

Limits of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage or for loss of profit or data arising from using or being unable to use the service, and our total liability for any claim does not exceed what you paid us in the three months before it. This section does not limit any right that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction over any dispute that is not settled amicably. The Arabic version prevails over any translation.

Changes to these terms

If we change the terms we update the date at the top of the page. For a material change we announce it on the site and in the app and e-mail you at least 14 days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms, and you may ask us to delete your account before then.
