Researchers

An AI assistant for researchers that leaves verification to you

OPTES searches your topic and gives summaries with their sources, reads papers as PDFs, tables and scanned manuscripts, transcribes field interviews in local dialects, and writes and runs statistical analysis code in front of you. Its agent team can split long tasks between a researcher, a reviewer and a coordinator. Checking every source and every conclusion stays your responsibility.

What OPTES does for you

First pass at the literature

Searches your topic and summarises the main lines of work with links to the sources. You open each source and confirm it exists and says what is claimed before it enters your review.

An example of what you type

Find studies published since 2020 on soil salinity in southern Iraq and summarise the methods used, with sources

AvailableResearch and summaries with sources

Read papers and manuscripts

Upload PDFs or photos of documents and manuscripts and it extracts method, sample and findings into a comparison table. You check the numbers against the originals.

An example of what you type

From these five papers, extract sample size, method, main finding and limitations into one table

AvailableReading images and documents

Transcribe field interviews

Turns interview recordings into text even when participants speak local dialects, ready for coding and analysis. You review the transcript and remove anything that identifies participants.

An example of what you type

Transcribe these three interviews as spoken, in dialect, and replace the names of people and villages with codes

AvailableSpeech to text

Statistical analysis code

Writes analysis code in Python or R for your data file, runs it and explains each step. You check the statistical assumptions and whether the results make sense.

An example of what you type

I have a CSV of survey results from 300 participants. Write Python code to test differences between age groups and explain the output

AvailableCoding and full projects

Edit the paper and abstract

Edits the paper's language, trims the abstract to the required length and translates it while keeping terminology intact. You check the scientific accuracy of every sentence before submission.

An example of what you type

Cut this abstract to 250 words and translate it into academic English, keeping the technical terms unchanged

AvailableWriting, editing and translation

Long research tasks with an agent team

For long tasks like reviewing dozens of sources, the researcher, reviewer and coordinator agents share the work and show you what they did. You review the result before relying on it.

An example of what you type

Split the work: collect studies on solar-powered desalination, classify them by technology, then review the classification and give me a report with sources

FAQ

Questions and answers

How does OPTES help researchers?

It shortens reading and organising: summaries with sources, data extracted from papers and manuscripts, interview transcripts, analysis code written and run, and editing and translation of papers. Scientific judgement and verification stay with the researcher.

Can I rely on the sources it cites?

It cites sources so you can verify them, not so you can copy them as they are. Open every source and confirm it exists and actually says what is attributed to it before you cite it in your work.

What about my study participants' data?

Upload only what the task needs, and replace names and identifying details with codes first. Always follow your participants' consent terms and your institution's ethics committee guidance.

Can I use it for my thesis or paper?

Universities and journals have different policies on AI use, so check the policy of the body you are submitting to and disclose its use as they require. The scientific content remains your responsibility.
